more plumbing, more HVAC, and roofing is done
The roof is done, and that’s the big change on the elevation. After we get the exterior painted, there won’t be a lot of change to the view from the street. There’s still a few bits of ductwork left to finish, and now that the bulk of it it in, the plumber is moving ahead with the roughin.
Excavator Mike dug us a couple burn pits, so I stopped by the fire station on the way home and asked about a permit. They require burning to be 100 feet from the house or any structure, so we need to get new pits dug, ours are too close. But since excavator Mike left his backhoe on the site, it shouldn’t be a big deal if we call him today and tell him.

The place has sawdust and crud all over the floor. But the HVAC contractor put sheet metal plates over the duct openings, I really like that. That will really help keep dust from construction out of the system.
