At last, the problems are corrected that prevented us from hanging drywall, mainly the holes in the roof. Today the first sheets of drywall got applied, breaking the somewhat lengthy pause in the progress.
The pocket doors arrived, which was the other factor stopping drywall progress. There are three pocket doors, one between the kitchen and music room, one in the toilet room in the master suite, and one in the linen closet in the kids’ bathroom.
I also decided to remove my reverse cove ceiling detail in the family room. After seeing it framed, I didn’t like the craftsmanship and I knew I wouldn’t be happy with it, so we decided after much discussion to remove it altogether.
