more plumbing, more HVAC, and roofing is done

Friday, July 18th, 2003

The roof is done, and that’s the big change on the elevation. After we get the exterior painted, there won’t be a lot of change to the view from the street. There’s still a few bits of ductwork left to finish, and now that the bulk of it it in, the plumber is moving ahead […]

roofing nearly complete

Thursday, July 17th, 2003

Those guys were working in 100 degree weather (that’s about 40 in real degrees) up on the roof. I can understand why they’d want to get it done quick. I snapped a couple shots from the road and went right inside to inspect other stuff.

It’s exciting to see three subs going at once on the […]

roofing under way

Wednesday, July 16th, 2003

We pulled up and there were dudes walking around on the roof. Normally by the time we show up on the site, the subs are gone for the day. But these guys worked until they were more or less in the dark.

more roughin plumbing done

Tuesday, July 15th, 2003

Some of that pipe is installed and looking like something now. I won’t bury you in pictures of roughin plumbing (although I certainly could). Jut a few to give you the feel that some work got done today.

roughin plumbing starts, and a new project

Monday, July 14th, 2003

I’d show you the elevation shots, but they look just like last time–no sign of roofers.

roofing material arrives

Saturday, July 12th, 2003

It’s still just sitting there, but we have roofing material delivered.

I have some high hopes that roofing might start over the weekend. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

a break in the action

Tuesday, July 8th, 2003

For now, nothing much is going on at the job site. We had some meetings with the cabinet salesman, and he came out and measured, and drew the layout on our floor with crayon. We met with the builder and decided some details, like doing the back screen porch in cedar, and exactly where the […]

framing mostly complete

Friday, July 4th, 2003

At this point, the framing is “done” except for the front porch columns, the doors, and the back porch. In any event, the framing crew is gone for a while, and will come back to finish those items.

Just a short update–not a lot of work on the day before a holiday, just finishing up open […]
