custom home ++ finally a little construction 04/21/2003

We've finalized the arrangements with our builder, and now we're just waiting on the paperwork to get finished on transfer of the deed to our lot. Once the bank gives us a green light there, we can close on our loan and get construction started in earnest, but for now we have some stakes in the ground at least.
So we're quite happy we decided to move the house back to 400 feet from the street centerline. Our contractor appears to have moved it about another 60 feet back, either due to his misinterpreting the drawings or for some other reason, but I'm okay with that. (More than okay really.)
My wife decided to go out and ride, so this was the first trip with the new trailer as well as the first time she's ridden on our property. She and her friend rode the trails over to the nearby park. I came out later with the kids and the camera to get the shots you see above. Like an idiot I didn't wear my boots. Worse, I had my hat with me but didn't put it on. So much for my "farmer Bob" persona...
